Deux-Sevres

 

Saint Maixent is situated between Niort and Poitiers in the Deux-Sevres department.

The town was founded in the 6th century by Saint Agip later joined by Saint Maixent.

The town is dominated by the cathedral.

In the summer the Deux-Sevres department has plenty to offer.
